Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) group in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer for the Effectors team. You will drive requirements, perform SE oversight during integration and test, and mentor engineers on mission-critical defense programs.

Required 8+ years in Systems Engineering, STEM degree, and ability to obtain/interim DoD clearance. On-site role with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in developing/ refining CONOPS, System Architecture, System Requirements, and verification strategies.
• Security clearance: DoD Secret or the ability to obtain interim clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Update, maintain, and improve requirements and documentation for development and production.
• Support design and system verification testing.
• Provide SE guidance during integration and test efforts.
• Support system performance analysis and integration/test activities.
• Mentor and guide team members and SMEs.
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers.
