Kapsch TrafficCom seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to own the end-to-end system integration across hardware, software, and electrical domains for tolling and roadside infrastructure programs. You will translate client needs into clear requirements, drive technical conversations, and maintain the requirements baseline from initial discussions through final acceptance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, architectural oversight, and hands-on collaboration with hardware and software teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years delivering complex systems with hardware and software integration.
• Proven ability to own a client relationship on multi-year programs.
• Strong track record leading technical discussions with customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with clients and translate needs into requirements.
• Own the requirements baseline end-to-end from first conversation to acceptance.
• Manage requirements and scope across hardware, software, electrical, and verification.
• Lead cross-functional teams aligning hardware, software, and electrical engineering.
• Define interfaces between roadside hardware and software layers.
