Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a Principal Systems Engineer focused on electrophysiology in hospital environments. You will lead cross-functional teams to integrate complex medical systems, develop tests, and create detailed guidance documents to advance device development.

You will apply systems engineering and Design Controls to improve processes, influence stakeholders, and ensure robust patient-safe solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, OR Master's with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, including defining systems architecture within medical device product development.
• Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally.

Job description

• Conduct interface testing within the system and during commercial support
• Integrate the system into Electrophysiology catheterization laboratory hospital environments
• Participate on cross-functional development teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, OR Master's with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 3 years of relevant experience
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
• Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment
• Experience in Systems Engineering, including defining systems architecture within medical device product development
• Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices
• Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally
• Must meet physical requirements, including being independently mobile, interacting with a computer, and communicating with peers and co-workers
• Principal-level role; U.S. work authorization sponsorship may be offered in accordance with Medtronic policy
