Job summary

Enphase Energy in Austin, TX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – C&I to lead architecture and development of Commercial and Industrial energy systems, including storage. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with global stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on lab work, strong HW/SW experience, and knowledge of SunSpec and Modbus. Occasional travel within the US is expected as part of a fast-paced team effort.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD with 8–15+ years in energy systems for C&I applications.
• Experience with HW/FW mixed systems and embedded SW.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hands-on lab experience.
• Willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and development of new Commercial and Industrial energy systems, including energy storage.
• Author the SRD and architectural documents, including interfaces and integration plans.
• Participate in lab integration, testing, and ensure design meets architecture.
• Report progress to management, orally and in presentations.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders across geographies.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
• Investigate future technologies and contribute to design reviews.
