Job summary
Enphase Energy seeks a leader to head the combined embedded firmware and electrical hardware team in its Austin R&D group, focused on Commercial and Industrial energy storage. You will manage 4–6 engineers, own architecture decisions, and drive product concepts through production launches while maintaining alignment across multiple disciplines.
The role requires hands-on capability, deep domain expertise in firmware or hardware, and a track record of scaling teams for MW-scale energy storage
Qualifications
- B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or CS.
- 10+ years in embedded firmware and/or electrical hardware development with leadership experience.
- Deep expertise in either firmware or hardware with credible knowledge of the other.
- Experience taking products from concept to production launch at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the embedded firmware and electrical hardware team (4-6 engineers).
- Set technical direction, review architecture and design across both domains.
- Own schedules, staffing, and deliverables; communicate risks to leadership.
- Hands-on work on architecture, bring-up, and critical-path tasks.
- Ensure safety/compliance (UL/IEC) for BESS and grid-interactive products.
