Actalent is seeking a Principal System Verification Engineer in Horsham, PA to lead verification for DWDM, ROADM, and OTN platforms in a lab environment. The role focuses on system-level black-box testing, test strategy, and automation development in Netconf/YANG, gRPC, CLI, and SNMP interfaces.

You will drive verification plans, create detailed test cases from product requirements, and collaborate with engineering to ensure feature readiness and customer validation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in system verification or test engineering for complex systems.
• Proven optical networking experience with DWDM, ROADM, OTN.
• Ability to derive test plans directly from product requirements.
• Strong system-level validation and black-box testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into test strategies and plans for optical networks.
• Develop and maintain verification plans and detailed test cases.
• Build validation scenarios for DWDM, ROADM, OTN transport systems.
• Perform black-box system testing of end-to-end behavior.
• Collaborate with development to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Develop Python automation to improve test efficiency.
