Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a senior verification engineer to join the Horsham, PA team onsite.

You will design and execute comprehensive verification plans for embedded systems in optical networking, develop Python automation, and drive CI/CD for regression testing. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with HW/SW and system architecture teams, and ensure robust verification across SDN and network/optical features.

Qualifications

8+ years in embedded systems software verification.
5+ years in Optical Networking industry (L0/L1).
Automation of northbound interface testing: Netconf/YANG, Restconf, CLI, SNMP.
Testing Linux based embedded systems.
Python or other scripting language for automation testing.
Proficient in TCP/IP, Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, LLDP, RSTP.
Experience with DWDM optics: EDFA, WSS, OSC, OCM, OTDR.
Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Discuss and review system requirement documents with cross-functional teams.
Design and develop test plans and traceability matrices to system requirements.
Establish verification practices for a new team and align with existing processes.
Validate management interface tests over Netconf, CLI and gRPC interfaces.
Conduct black box testing across SDN and optical features (OSPF, BGP, LLDP, EDFA, WSS, OTDR).
Develop Python automation scripts and implement CI/CD pipelines for regression testing.
Create test summary reports and maintain test case repository.
Maintain daily sanity tests and run regression tests for software/hardware upgrades.
Design new test cases from customer feedback and retest fixes.
