Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Principal System Validation Engineer in Roseville to own silicon bring-up, system integration, and validation for next-gen SoCs.

You will build validation infra, write test plans, execute tests on prototype silicon and firmware, and debug across hardware, firmware, and software in a fast-paced lab setting. The role requires 10+ years in silicon/SoC validation, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and hands-on lab experience with high-speed test equipment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of silicon/SoC validation experience (pre- and/or post-silicon).
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python and lab/testing proficiency.
• Hands-on lab experience with high-speed test equipment and debug across hardware, firmware, and software.

Responsibilities

• Integrate prototype SoC hardware/firmware into a complete system for functional testing.
• Develop and execute feature tests to validate hardware blocks and firmware to specs.
• Lead validation infrastructure: boards, FPGAs, drivers, scripts, and automated tests.
