Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a System Test Engineer for the Control Segment, or a Principal System Test Engineer, to join our Edwards AFB/Palmdale team in California.

The position requires a Top Secret clearance, a STEM degree, and experience with Linux/Windows and network configurations. A 4/10 schedule, relocation assistance, and opportunities across major aerospace projects are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 0 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s or higher in STEM with demonstrable test experience and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with Linux/Windows OS, networks, and basic virtualization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure System-Under-Test readiness to safely execute tests.
• Serve as SME during test events and collaborate with Test and Quality Engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during test events and document resolutions.
• Perform software installations and maintain software/hardware configurations.
• Author and edit procedure documents as required.
