What You Will Do
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate‑to‑high‑scope technical problems, including hardware and operating system integration.
- Execute actions directed by senior staff and project management.
- Engage in cross‑team collaboration and align with leadership expectations.
- Design, develop, and deploy container solutions.
- Participate in all phases of engineering software installation and support, emphasizing testing, documentation, and acceptance.
- Manage ESXi hosts, vCenter, and Microsoft Windows domains.
- Apply Windows Server internal knowledge and Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication.
- Work with hardware RAID, encryption tools, and server management utilities.
- Perform data backup and restoration following industry best practices.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within six months of start date.
- Support systems operational 24×7, with occasional work beyond standard hours.
- Travel up to 10% of the year to other U.S. domestic locations as required.
- Maintain full‑time, on‑site presence.
Qualifications You Must Have
- University degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least three years of experience.
- Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance available prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end‑user data.
- Proficiency with cloning techniques.
- Experience using and guiding automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- In-depth understanding of operating system concepts and implementations.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory services administration and support, including user and computer object management and group policy.
- Experience with network services within Microsoft Windows environments (domain controller, DNS, DHCP).
- Support for desktop/workstation hardware.
- Experience with an IT incident or service‑request system.
