Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a qualified and motivated Supply Chain Planning Specialist (2) / Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (3) within the Airborne Battle management (ABM) Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management and/or related fields (including business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, and manufacturing). This position may be staffed as a hybrid role from Linthicum, MD. This requisition may be filled as a level 2 or a level 3.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Participating in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management
2. Defining and developing material strategy
3. Analyzing lead times and identifying critical path procurements
4. Creating/releasing requisitions
5. Receiving/reviewing requirements for non-standard parts
6. Planning inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
7. Creating/reducing supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
8. Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program
9. Understanding the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)
10. Developing, coordinating, and executing monthly material forecast planning and tracking
11. Analyzing material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
12. Evaluating suppliers, addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues, and noting key performance indicators
13. Making sound decisions in a timely manner, displaying strong interpersonal skills, and having an agile mindset

Basic Qualifications: Supply Chain Planning Specialist

1. Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience; OR a master’s degree
2. Proficiency in Microsoft office with expertise in excel
3. Proficiency with SAP
4. Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment
5. Experience with customer service and demand flow
6. Extensive experience with Risk mitigation
7. Experience with development programs (i.e. IRAD)
8. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
9. US Citizenship is required

Basic Qualifications: Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

1. Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience; OR a master’s degree with 3+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience
2. Proficiency in Microsoft office with expertise in excel
3. Proficiency with SAP
4. Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment
5. Experience with customer service and demand flow
6. Extensive experience with Risk mitigation
7. Experience with development programs (i.e. IRAD)
8. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
9. US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Understanding of an IRAD/Developmental Program
2. Proficient in using MRP systems for material and finance data analysis
3. Experience with forecasting material receipts and sales dollars into COGNOS
4. Experience with Government Programs and FAR/DFAR flow downs
5. Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality
6. Experience managing programs with earned Value (EV)
7. Experience with cost accounting management (CAM)
8. Currently have an active DoD security clearance

Salary Range: $70,600 - $105,800

Salary Range 2: $87,000 - $130,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
