Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer-Supplier Quality to lead supplier quality across Mount Holly Springs, PA. You will work with Factory Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions for reliable, high-quality products.

You will drive supplier improvement programs, conduct site audits, and coordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure adherence to Microchip's quality standards worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with 10+ years in QA managing suppliers.
• Strong expertise in material science and mechatronics.
• Experience with supplier quality management and corrective actions.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
• Knowledge of ISO/IATF/AS and VDA6.3 automotive audits.
• U.S. export controls compliance and eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review supplier quality performance and improvements.
• Audit suppliers’ sites and close out all corrective actions.
• Drive suppliers’ improvement programs across value streams.
• Coordinate with Internal Operations, BU, QA and supplier teams on failures.
• Lead root-cause analysis and containment actions with suppliers.
