Stanley Consultants is seeking a Principal Substation Physical Engineer with a strong background in high voltage substation design. The role leads design efforts, coordinates with multiple disciplines, and manages budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
Requirements include an ABET‑accredited BS, 15+ years of substation physical design, client-facing experience, and a PE license. Travel and mentoring responsibilities are also part of the position.
Stanley Consultants is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Substation Physical Engineer with a strong background in high voltage substation design. Technical responsibilities will include the design of any or all of the following: high and low voltage substation physical designs; computer modeling/analysis of electrical systems; preparation of specifications for equipment and systems; report preparation; applying codes and standards; and performing and reviewing design calculations.
The position will be responsible for leading design efforts and performing design duties with minimal supervision on multiple projects. Applicants must be able to determine client requirements and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas as necessary, coordinate with other disciplines as needed, manage a design budget and schedule, and demonstrate proficiency in these areas.
