Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is building a brand-new AI-Pillar on the AIRS team, focusing on AI/ML infrastructure and scalable backends. We seek Sr. Principal and Principal level SRE/DevOps Engineers to design, deploy, and operate secure, highly available platforms powering our AI security stack.

You will manage the orchestration plane, automate pipelines, and ensure global reliability for inline engines, data pipelines, and AI models.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) with 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Platform Engineering.
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes (GKE), containers, and service mesh architectures.
• Extensive GitOps/CICD experience with ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Terraform and other IaC tools to manage production cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain high-scale Kubernetes clusters on GCP, optimizing performance and security.
• Deploy, scale, and optimize core managed data services like Bigtable and BigQuery.
• Design and implement IaC solutions to manage global multi-region environments.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automated validation gates for platform services.
• Collaborate with Data Plane and Data Pipeline teams to ensure sub-millisecond processing stability.
• Drive SRE practices with observability dashboards, metrics, and proactive alerting.
