Job summary

Gen Digital in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to define reliability strategy, scale systems, and lead organizational improvements across SRE, cloud, and security. You will drive observability, incident management, and automation using Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling; mentor engineers; collaborate with security and product leadership.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or infrastructure engineering with leadership in large-scale cloud initiatives.
Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes, including running containerized microservices at scale.
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and modern CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Define and drive long-term reliability strategy across services and teams.
Lead architecture decisions for highly available distributed systems in cloud environments.
Establish and mature SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and performance monitoring.
Guide platform evolution with infrastructure automation and IaC.
Drive observability, metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting strategies.
