Clearance and Travel
Clearance required: Yes (Secret level, with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret and Special Access Program clearance). Travel: up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans.
- Write Concept of Operations (CONOPs) documents.
- Oversee instrumentation setup and management.
- Provide support for demonstrations and field exercise tests.
- Collect metrics and perform result analysis.
- Deploy and configure systems.
- Configure and test cloud systems.
- Perform RF system testing.
Qualifications
Primary qualifications are provided for each level. Candidates may be selected for Level 3 or Level 4 based on education and experience.
Level 3 – Principal Research and Advanced Design Test Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; or Master’s Degree and 3 years; or Ph.D. and 1 year.
- Active DoD Secret or higher clearance with background investigation completed within the last 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program clearance.
- Experience with RF testing (plan development, execution, lab testing, customer testing, formal qualification).
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Level 4 – Senior Principal Research and Advanced Design Test Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience; or Master’s Degree and 6 years; or Ph.D. and 4 years.
- Active DoD Secret or higher clearance with background investigation completed within the last 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program clearance.
- Experience with RF testing.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience generating technical documents and using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and programming languages.
- Experience developing dynamic test cases.
- Experience with cloud and virtualized environments.
- Experience with RF testing equipment setup.
- Familiarity with cellular networks.
- Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Experience creating Basis of Estimates (BOE).
- Experience testing systems in On‑prem, Cloud, and device management.
- Experience with RF deployments.
Salary
Primary Level: $98,400.00–$147,600.00. Secondary Level: $122,800.00–$184,200.00. Salary is determined by role scope, experience, education, and market conditions.
