Job Summary
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Principal (Level 3) or Senior Principal (Level 4) Proposal Analyst to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. The role provides essential support to the F‑35 Production & Development Operating Unit, leading and coordinating proposal activities across diverse and inclusive teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and schedule proposals.
- Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in accordance with RFP specifications.
- Coordinate collection of cost, scheduling, and performance information from functional departments.
- Research and analyze historical data; develop cost models to support proposal efforts.
- Coordinate activities and participate in fact‑finding meetings.
- Participate in should‑cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
- Serve as a member of the contract negotiating team.
- Work in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests.
- Prepare proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies.
- Present proposal recommendations to management.
- Prepare certified cost and pricing data packages.
- Support proposal audits and negotiations with customers.
Basic Qualifications
Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experience.
- Experience in estimating, pricing, finance, contracts, business, and/or business operations.
- Ability to apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
- Experience in estimating, pricing, finance, contracts, business, and/or business operations.
- Ability to apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with high standards of quality.
- Experience with developing and/or analyzing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Ability to independently complete projects with limited supervision.
- Proven data analysis skills for meaningful insights.
- Prior price estimating experience.
- Experience with ProPricer or BOENext.
- Experience with cost/price analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Self‑motivated with teamwork abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Compensation
Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00.
Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 – $176,300.00.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentive programs. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
