Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Level 2 or Level 3 Proposal Analyst to join a team that develops cost, schedule, and technical elements for RFP responses. The role is on-site with a 9/80 schedule and a hybrid option for teleworking on Fridays, with travel up to 10% and a Secret clearance requirement.

You will work in a collaborative environment, perform should-cost and pricing reviews, prepare cost data packages, and support audits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and proposal/estimating experience as stated.
• Ability to perform cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

• Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
• Prepares and coordinates with others to prepare proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies.
• Prepares and participates in preparation of certified cost or pricing data packages.
• Supports proposal audits and negotiations with customers.

Overview

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Level 2 Proposal Analyst or a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be on site in Redondo Beach, CA. The team follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and offers a hybrid work environment to allow teleworking on the working Friday. Travel is up to 10% of the time. Clearance required: Secret.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications for Level 2 Proposal Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 2 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline.
• Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship.

Basic qualifications for Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experience.
• Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Supply chain.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting.
• Experience with SAP/S4.
• Experience with program cost analysis in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of government contract environment (FAR and DFARS).
• Working knowledge of cost accounting standards, generally accepted accounting principles and accounting/proposal auditing techniques.
• Experience with ProPricer.

Compensation and benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
