Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Principal SQA Engineer to validate core networking and security features in the SD-WAN space.

You will join a world-class software team tackling ground-breaking SD-WAN technologies and work with multi-disciplinary engineers to solve complex problems. Office-based roles require three days in the office weekly with one flex day, aligning with collaboration and fast decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a BS/MS degree or equivalent military experience.
• Exposure to TCP/IP protocols (ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP) and IPSec VPNs.
• Experience testing enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Exposure to Linux on x86, virtualization (VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V).
• Automation/Programming using Python and REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining complex networking testbeds.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small, fast-paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver impactful results.
• Contribute in all phases of end-to-end product and solution validation.
• Collaborate with multiple development and QA groups to achieve high quality.
• Suggest and implement QA process improvements.
• Coordinate with DevOps and Technical Support to troubleshoot customer issues.
