Job summary

Raytheon is seeking candidate for a Principal Specialist, Materials Planning role within the Advanced Product Center area in McKinney, TX. The successful candidate will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule.

What You Will Do:
  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Working daily to confirm material supply availability.
  • Preparing purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
  • Conducting quarterly physical inventory cycle counts and reconciling the system.
  • Expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, etc.
  • Performing movement of material to and from the factory, pack/ship (or other area) as needed. Must be able to lift per RTX EHS Lifting Guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly analysis in support of IPT/PPR meetings with programs.
  • Attend, support, and/or lead weekly program and factory meetings.
  • This role will be onsite in our McKinney, TX facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, or project management.
  • Experience with MRP and/or Special program access.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
  • Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
