Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking a Principal Engineer, Solutions Architecture with strong hands‑on development skills and a talent for agentic AI to join the Chief Technology Office development team. The role involves translating complex requirements into scalable architectures across data, API, and UI, while ensuring security and government compliance.

Candidates should have a current Secret clearance and 3–5 years of full‑stack experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Demonstrated full‑stack development experience (3–5 years).
• Experience with agentic AI coding tools to enhance code at scale.
• Proficient in at least one back‑end language (Python preferred) and one front‑end framework (TypeScript preferred).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs for system integration.
• Strong Git version control and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose requirements and design end‑to‑end solutions before building.
• Architect across data model, API, and UI at scale for government programs.
• Leverage agentic AI to prototype, extend, and integrate functionality.
• Shift between programs, prioritizing high‑impact initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams to identify pain points and build consensus on architecture.
• Ensure security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices across projects.
• Document decisions and architectural rationale for knowledge transfer.
• Validate design through rigorous testing and performance checks.
