Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for an onsite role in Aurora, CO (Buckley). The position focuses on architecture and design of full stack web-based applications, modernization of legacy systems, and end-to-end analysis within a mission-focused environment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience. Strong Java/Python/C++ coding, Linux/Unix, and experience with React/Angular are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years engineering experience.
• Experience with coding software in Java, Python, or C++.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience in software development and/or software integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect full stack web-based applications.
• Help modernize legacy software to a modern microservice and web-based application.
• Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of software applications.
• Troubleshoot and isolate sources of system errors or performance issues.
• Perform testing, integration and delivery of new software baselines.
• Conduct in-depth analysis with an end-to-end perspective of complex systems in operations.
