Job summary
FormFactor, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, modernization, and support of software for semiconductor manufacturing and test systems.
This senior role drives architecture decisions, migration from MATLAB/LabVIEW to C#/.NET, and integration with equipment, motion control, and automation platforms. You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, quality, and product teams to deliver
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work.
- Experience with C#/.NET and MATLAB/ LabVIEW migration to C#/.NET.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of software for semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment.
- Architect and implement new software features from requirements through release.
- Provide technical leadership in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technology decisions.
- Drive migration of legacy MATLAB/LabVIEW applications to modern C#/.NET platforms.
