Roblox is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Safety Experience team in the Trust & Safety organization. You will revolutionize Roblox users' perception of safety by developing agentic applications and scalable solutions.

Based in San Mateo, CA, the role offers opportunity to shape safety across a massive user base, collaborating with product, ops, and cross-functional teams while leading architecture and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; 8+ years hands-on experience; graduate degree preferred.
• Proven experience developing innovative solutions using LLMs.
• Extensive experience with modern programming languages (C#, Java, Python).
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture, RESTful APIs, and RPC.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions across multiple teams.
• Machine learning experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows for customer-facing and internal applications.
• Stay updated on LLM trends and create cost-efficient chatbot features.
• Influence roadmap and cross-functional strategy for safety experiences.
• Provide technical leadership across the pod and beyond.
• Mentor junior engineers to grow their skills.
