Job summary

Philips is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Azurion Eye in Plymouth, MN to drive data-driven imaging workflows and AI-enabled features. You will lead cross-functional teams to translate requirements into clinical imaging capabilities and system integration, using C++ across the IntraSight and Azurion platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of software development experience, including 10+ years of C++ development experience.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into software platforms and optimizing intelligent workflows, with knowledge of DICOM, HL7, FHIR, PACS, RIS, or HIS.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, CMake, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments and in regulated medical-device development (IEC 62304, IEC 82304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).

Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration with Product Owners, Software Architects, Systems Engineers, and Testers to translate requirements into imaging and system integration features.
• Develop clinical and messaging features in C++ for integration between IntraSight and Azurion systems.
• Break down requirements into BDD scenarios and contribute to Agile planning and roadmap delivery.
• Apply software architecture, design, coding, and integration practices aligned with the platform architecture.
• Lead software documentation and participate in risk management activities, including FMEA, under regulatory requirements.
