Job summary

Philips AI Clinical Solutions Engineer for Azurion Eye bridges clinical practice and AI innovation, working with physicians, clinical staff, product teams, and AI engineers to identify opportunities where AI improves workflows and patient care. You deploy and validate AI capabilities in real-world settings and translate clinical observations into product requirements for prioritized engineering work.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in software-based healthcare/medical technology solutions.
• Experience with AI-enabled healthcare products and clinicians.
• Understanding of image-guided therapy or related domains.
• Experience with FDA Design Controls and SaMD/SaNMD environments.
• Ability to translate clinical observations into product requirements and priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify clinical challenges and translate them into AI-enabled product requirements.
• Deploy and evaluate AI capabilities in clinical environments with structured feedback on usability and workflow fit.
• Validate AI outputs, identify edge cases and support model improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to accelerate learning cycles and prioritize enhancements.
• Support clinical evaluations, evidence generation, and AI performance validation.
• Build partnerships with physicians and hospital stakeholders to drive adoption of AI solutions.
• Support prototype deployments and integration into hospital IT environments.
• Represent customer needs across AI, Clinical Science, Engineering, UX, Quality, and Regulatory.
