Job summary

The Chamberlain Group LLC (CG) is seeking a lead engineer to build workflows and tools for Builders, the AI-enabled Agent Platform, and production-grade agent systems. You will guide the development of the engine behind modern AI-powered software, collaborating across architecture, infrastructure, and front-end teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical discussions, and ensure compliance with security and ISO standards while staying current on innovations in AI integration for software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering or related field; advanced degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
• 12 years of job-related experience.
• Experience creating technical documentation is required.
• Experience defining functional process improvements and implementing change is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI DLC process, frameworks, and mentor the Software organization on leveraging AI in software development.
• Create AI platforms that Software teams leverage for AI DLC; implement architectural guidelines for Builder Tools development.
• Report Builder Tools and AI DLC strategy and roadmap to Engineering leadership.
• Oversee design reviews to maintain high-quality software applications.
• Manage code-base changes across multiple scrum teams for new business requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and front-end teams on platform enhancements.
• Analyze requirements with architects/senior engineers to design large-scale software solutions.
• Lead technical discussions in communities of practice and design reviews.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior and senior engineers to raise capabilities.
• Stay current on technologies to enhance MyQ connectivity solution.

Job Summary

This role will act as lead engineer constructing the workflows and tools for our Builders, the governed Agent Platform (Cloud Agents, per-agent and per-instance identity, the Cortex code index, SkillTree, and an MCP gateway), and production-grade agentic systems like the Self-Healing System's Triage, Fix, and Watch agents. This is the team that builds the engine that fuels our goal of reimagining how Software is built in the age of AI.

Job Responsibilites

• Drive the AI DLC process, frameworks, and champion / mentor the Software organization on how to leverage AI in software development
• Create AI platforms that Software teams leverage for AI DLC; implement architectural guidelines and standards for Builder Tools development on top of those platforms
• Report out the Builder Tools and AI DLC team strategy and roadmap to Engineering leadership to align with company strategy
• Oversee design reviews within the business domain to maintain high-quality software applications
• Participate in technical assessment, scoping and management of changes to the code-base on new business requirements, product enhancements and other change requests across multiple scrum teams
• Collaborate with other Chamberlain domain experts, such as infrastructure, database, and front end, as the team develops features and platform enhancements
• Analyze requirements, collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs of large scope and high complexity
• Lead technical discussions in community of practice, design review, or other technical meeting forums
• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior and senior engineers to increase software capability of the development teams
• Stay current on modern technologies and innovations which can further enhance and improve the commercial success of the MyQ connectivity solution
• Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
• Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Hybrid

The pay range for this position is $129,700.00 - $226,900.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
