Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions seeks a Principal Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role requires current TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and 20+ years of web app experience, plus strong leadership and cloud skills.

You will lead design, development and deployment of high-impact software, collaborate with the Chief Engineer, and deliver features end-to-end in a security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience with web applications and front-end technologies, plus a technical degree.
• Experience with AWS, Git, Docker/Kubernetes, HAProxy, Nginx, Node.js, Angular and React.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on high‑impact projects.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.

• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Complete medium to large features independently without mandatory guidance.
• Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems.

The projected compensation range for this position is $215,000.00-$250,000.00. Factors that can impact a final salary include Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications, and Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
