Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical software solutions in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires advanced experience in Java, C++, or Python, and hands-on expertise with Jira/Confluence, Postgres, and software architecture. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) or more years of related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or 4 years additional experience substituted for a degree.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence in large-scale software programs.
• Proficiency in software development with Java, C++, and/or Python; familiarity with relational databases.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Required Skills:

• Twenty (20) or more years of relatedexperience plus a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or 4 years additional experience might be substituted for a degree.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the following software development skills:
• Git
• Java, C++, and/or Python
• Relational database, such as Postgres
