Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role combines hands-on software design with team leadership in a hybrid work setting.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions using Git, Java, C++, Python, and Postgres. A TS/SCI with Polygraph is required, and you will participate in design and code reviews across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of related experience plus a technical Bachelor's degree, or 4 years additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Git, Java, C++, Python, and relational database systems (Postgres).

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is Hybrid position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Required Skills:

• Twenty (20) or more years of related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or 4 years additional experience might be substituted for a degree.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the following software development skills:
• Git
• Java, C++, and/or Python
• Relational database, such as Postgres

Security Clearance Requirement :
Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
