Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver software and firmware for ultra-high-performance datacenter-scale solutions. This on-site role requires ownership of firmware, drivers, and embedded Linux builds, with collaboration across engineering teams.

You will support customer trials, address field issues, and drive validation and automation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 12+ years of related experience.
• Experience developing software in C/C++ for large-scale multi-processor architectures.
• Proficiency with Linux/Yocto/OpenBMC and firmware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver software and firmware for datacenter-scale solutions.
• Own all design aspects including firmware, drivers, and embedded Linux builds.
• Assist with customer trials, field issues, and product sustainability.
• Drive validation and automation in a cross-functional team.
