• Collaborate with senior architects and engineering leaders to design, implement, and deliver scalable, high-performance storage solutions.
• Design, develop, and optimize new features for OCI's high-performance, distributed file storage platform.
• Operate and continuously improve a mission-critical Tier 1 cloud service, maintaining strict availability, performance, and reliability SLAs for our most strategic customers.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, helping them grow their skills and take on increasing ownership and responsibility.
• Drive engineering excellence by contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and operational best practices.

Description

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help deliver the next generation of high-performance, massively scalable file storage powering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you'll design and develop distributed storage systems that support some of the world's most demanding workloads, including AI/ML, HPC, and large-scale enterprise applications. You'll collaborate directly with high-profile customers to solve complex performance and scalability challenges while shaping the future of cloud storage.

You’ll stay at the forefront of datacenter innovation, leveraging the latest advances in compute, networking, and storage infrastructure to drive breakthrough improvements in performance, scale, efficiency, and reliability. As part of the OCI Storage organization, you’ll work on a mission-critical Tier 1 cloud service where your contributions have a direct impact on customers running business-critical applications at global scale.

Responsibilities

As a member of OCI's Storage division, you will:

• Work closely with compute, networking, and other infrastructure teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve scalability, performance, efficiency, and operational excellence across OCI.Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, helping them grow their skills and take on increasing ownership and responsibility.
• Drive engineering excellence by contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and operational best practices.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
