Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and governance of scalable frontend and backend systems. You will work on the Bridgeway Micro Frontend platform, shaping mission-critical software and guiding a motivated engineering team in an agile environment.

You will partner with product, design, security and data teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of software engineering experience.
• Strong background in business operations and strategies, including knowledge of global business, technology trends and financial services.
• Hands-on work with layered system architectures and shared software concepts; familiar with contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
• Experience in agile environments and DevOps/SecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate fullstack solutions using modern web technologies.
• Build and execute AI-driven workflows.
• Drive Micro Frontend strategy and onboarding of React apps into Bridgeway platform.
• Collaborate with product, design, security, and data teams to improve reliability and customer experience.
• Establish engineering best practices and mentor engineers.
