Job summary

iManage is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive complex initiatives across requirements, design, build and delivery of our core cloud platform. You will own the SDLC end-to-end, partner with product management, design and research, and bring an ownership mindset to deliver scalable solutions for knowledge workers worldwide.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, apply AI thoughtfully in daily work, and help shape architectural patterns while maintaining hands-on technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Hands-on ownership of complex technical initiatives from problem definition to delivery.
• Experience with Java, microservices and event-driven architectures at production scale.
• Designing and delivering cloud-native systems at scale, preferably on Azure.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, Linux development runtime.
• Experience with secure coding, threat modeling, and CI/CD pipelines.

• A demonstrated record of owning complex technical initiatives from problem definition through delivery, including workdrivenindependently with minimal oversight
• Hands‑on experience in Java, microservices, and event-driven architectures, built through delivering real production systems
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-native systems at scale, withAzurepreferred
• The ability tothink critically about howarchitectural patterns applyto a scenario, and theskillsto articulate the benefitsof applying those patterns
• Apractical, applied understanding of AI in the engineering workflow: comfortable using AI coding tools effectively, and able to explain and stand behind whatever you ship
• Comfortoperatingwith ambiguity,taking ownership across multiple areas, and adapting to changing priorities; experience in consulting or startup environments is a plus
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
• Proficiencywith relational and NoSQL database systems
• Experience with the Linux platform as a development and runtime environment
• Knowledge of secure coding and design practices, including threat modeling, is a plus
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build management; use of Dockerand Kubernetesis a plus

The overall US annual base salary range for this position is $150,000–$200,000. Individual compensation for each candidate depends on factors such as qualifications, experience, and candidate location. This range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, or benefits.
