Job summary

Cadence in Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to develop efficient C/C++ solutions and analyze algorithms. You will collaborate with senior architects on next-generation projects, participate in design reviews, and write rigorous tests.

Required BS/MS/PhD with extensive experience, strong problem-solving, and knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and databases. Familiarity with compilers and parallel simulation is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• BS with a minimum of 8 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR PhD with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong software engineering and problem solving skills
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases
• Understanding of compilers, parsing and code generation, static elaboration, event driven or parallel simulation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills and creativity in tackling complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale software systems and performance tuning
• Knowledge of simulation engines and EDA tools
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog Hardware Description Language

The annual salary range for Massachusetts is $117,600 to $218,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
