Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced software architect to define and own the technical architecture for enterprise Java applications, including Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs. You will guide large-scale projects, review designs, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in object-oriented software development of Java web and enterprise apps.
• 5+ years with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• 10+ years SQL experience with database design and data management.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
• Strong full-stack Java development and OOP/design pattern knowledge.
• Hands-on with Git, GitHub, Jira; Agile environment experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Amazon Q Developer.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for enterprise applications.
• Lead the technical direction of large-scale software projects and perform code reviews.
• Evaluate new technologies and document architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable, secure software solutions.
• Modernize legacy apps with Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications with focus on performance and security.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders on COB&R applications.
• Mentor developers and promote secure coding and best practices.
• Own deliverables and contribute to process improvements and performance.
• Act as escalation point for production incidents.
