CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead architecture across cloud, data, and AI-driven platforms. You will guide cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative healthcare software solutions, shaping consumer experiences across digital health journeys.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Industry experience.
• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale solution design and technical architecture initiatives across multiple value streams.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, and ReactJS.
• 7+ years experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of experience designing modern APIs and RESTful services; 5+ years with micro-services.

Responsibilities

• Guide implementation of reference architecture solutions demonstrating best-in-class user experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, lead POC initiatives, and develop architectural recommendations.
• Develop solutions that are well engineered, flexible, and maintainable and delivered on schedule.
• Author white papers, guides, and technical documentation for the internal developer community.
• Collaborate across product, platform, developers, and DevOps to achieve alignment.
• Champion user-centric product development with emphasis on accessibility, privacy, and security.
• Provide SME oversight and development support on future updates.
• Mentor architects and engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Define and validate Non-Functional Requirements (performance, scalability, security, observability).
• Analyze current architecture and identify opportunities for improvements.
