CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead architectural initiatives across cloud, data, and AI-driven platforms. You will guide large-scale solutions, mentor teams, and align business goals with technology strategy, while ensuring security and privacy of healthcare data.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in software, 7+ years in enterprise architecture, and strong experience with Java/Python/Node.js, APIs, and GCP. This is a leadership role within the DDAT ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Industry experience.
• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale solution design and architecture initiatives.
• 7+ years with modern technologies including Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, ReactJS.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years designing modern APIs and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on reference architecture solutions for best user experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead POC initiatives.
• Develop well-engineered, flexible, and maintainable solutions.
• Author architectural guides and documentation for internal developers.
• Collaborate across product, platform, developers, and DevOps teams.
• Champion user-centric product development with privacy and security in mind.
• Mentor architects and engineers towards technical excellence.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security).
• Analyze current architecture and propose improvements.
