Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Principal Software Development Engineer to lead architectural initiatives across cloud, data, and AI-driven solutions within the DDAT organization. Qualifications

• 10+ years of software industry experience.
• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale solution design and architecture initiatives.
• 7+ years hands-on with modern technologies and frameworks (Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, ReactJS).
• 7+ years with relational and NoSQL databases; data modeling and scalable patterns.
• 7+ years designing cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on GCP.
• 5+ years designing modern APIs and RESTful services.
• 5+ years with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• 5+ years of disciplined software design and testing.
• 5+ years of requirements analysis, estimation, and architecture design.
• 5+ years of strong communication and presentation skills.
• 4+ years managing technical, customer-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on reference architecture solutions for best-in-class user experiences.
• Lead POC initiatives and develop architectural recommendations.
• Develop well-engineered, flexible, resilient solutions delivered on schedule.
• Author architecture documentation and technical guides for internal developers.
• Collaborate across product, platform, developers, and DevOps teams.
• Champion user-centric product development with privacy and security embedded.
• Provide SME oversight on future updates and maintenance.
• Mentor architects and engineers to foster technical excellence.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security).
• Analyze current architecture to identify improvements and collaborate with stakeholders.
