Huntress is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead a feature delivery team for the SIEM platform. You will define the technical vision, own complex features, and drive delivery with a team of skilled engineers.

You will collaborate with platform, architecture, product, and security teams to improve workflows, adopt AI-assisted practices, and elevate the overall security analytics platform. This role offers remote US work with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 15+ years building complex software products.
• 8+ years with Ruby on Rails and database scale.
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with modern data storage and analytics workloads.
• Agile or Scrum experience in delivery teams.
• Proficient in JavaScript and CSS; strong code review skills.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and uptime of mission-critical features.
• Lead technical decisions with cross-team impact.
• Define long-term technical goals and roadmap alignment.
• Collaborate with product, security, platform, and architecture teams.
• Develop and enforce best practices; design scalable software.
