Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to define and build a new security engineering team for AWS Global Sales. You will own security and governance frameworks across the AGS field and drive risk reduction with cross-functional partners, including security, legal, and segment leaders.

You'll shape security programs, recruit and train reviewers, and ensure ongoing alignment with AWS-wide standards while enabling the field to move fast and securely.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the field's security and governance frameworks, codifying them into steering docs and agents the field builds with.
• Grow and accredit the security reviewer community and keep judgment calibrated as technology evolves.
• Own field security training, partnering with security engineers and field enablement on delivery.
• Measure AGS against AWS-wide security standards and provide leadership with prioritized risk readings.
• Partner with the business through post-incident follow-through and close action items.
• Own the AGS field's security roadmap balancing near-term wins and long-term shifts.
• Own governance for security exceptions and escalations, maintaining consistent decisions.
• Some travel required (up to 25%).
