Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building a security engineering team for AWS Global Sales (AGS). We seek a Principal Technical Program Manager to shape security governance from day one and enable fast, secure customer engagements.

You'll own field security frameworks, grow the reviewer community, lead training, and measure risk against AWS standards while partnering with Legal, security, and business leaders across AWS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own the field's security and governance frameworks, codifying AWS Security standards into steering docs and field builds.
• Grow the field's security reviewer community by recruiting, training, and accrediting reviewers.
• Own field security training on responsibilities and frameworks, partnering with security engineers and AWS Security.
• Measure AGS against AWS-wide security standards and run regular risk reviews for leadership.
• Partner with the business through post-incident follow-through and close action items.
• Own the AGS field's security roadmap balancing near-term wins with long-term shifts.
• Own governance for security exceptions and escalations, ensuring consistency.
• Some travel required (up to 25%).
