Job summary

iSpot is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer in Bellevue, WA, to lead architecture for a real‑time measurement platform and drive scalable data processing across cloud environments.

You will mentor teams, shape technology strategy, and partner with product, data science, and security to deliver high‑impact analytics and cross‑platform integrations. Strong leadership and a track record of building scalable systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of software engineering experience with cloud infrastructure and large‑scale data processing.
• Experience designing and scaling complex data‑driven systems, ideally in ad tech or media.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud‑native architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala and distributed computing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a forward‑looking technical vision for the data processing platform.
• Lead architecture for real‑time data ingestion and large‑scale analytics.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in design and coding.
• Collaborate with data science, product, and security teams on platform improvements.
