Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Scientist, Spatial Omics, to lead development and deployment of spatial and molecular profiling capabilities across neuroscience, oncology, and immunology. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, designing robust assays and integrating perturbation libraries and transcriptomic profiling.

Qualifications

PhD in Genetics/Genomics or related discipline required.
Post-doctoral fellowship or equivalent industry experience required.
Deep, technical spatial omics expertise with end-to-end workflow understanding.

Responsibilities

Lead development, validation, and deployment of spatial genomics and molecular profiling assays.
Design and execute tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, and sequencing workflows.
Establish and refine functional genomics and massively parallel cell assays; troubleshoot and assess feasibility.
Build and scale laboratory infrastructure and enable operational readiness.
Manage CROs and external partners to ensure data quality and timely delivery.
Collaborate with therapeutic teams to translate multiomics readouts into actionable insights.
