Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Principal Scientist, Preclinical, Robotics & Digital Solutions to lead global preclinical programs within the MedTech Surgery Robotics team. This on-site role includes relocation support and travel up to 15%.

You will design and execute preclinical studies, serve as Study Director under 21 CFR Part 58, interpret results, and partner with regulatory affairs to support IDE/De Novo/510(k) submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or a related discipline is required.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Experience in GLP environments and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers global preclinical evidence generation strategies.
• Ensures alignment from regional MedTech leads for preclinical plans.
• Designs and executes preclinical animal studies for safety and performance.
• Acts as Study Director per 21 CFR part 58 for GLP and non-GLP studies.
• Interprets results and disseminates evidence through reports and publications.
