Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Principal Scientist, Preclinical, Robotics & Digital Solutions, in Cincinnati, Ohio. This on-site role may require relocation and up to 15% travel domestically and internationally.

You will lead preclinical evidence strategies for robotics and digital solutions in the Surgery segment, collaborating across R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure robust data for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of preclinical scientific/technical experience.
• Experience with GLP and regulatory submissions for medical devices.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes global preclinical evidence strategies aligned to R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial needs.
• Designs and oversees preclinical animal studies for safety, performance and effectiveness; includes protocol development and reports.
• Acts as Study Director per 21 CFR part 58 for GLP and non-GLP studies.
• Interacts with regulatory agencies to support preclinical and regulatory strategies and inspections.
• Mentors team members and builds relationships with key partners and investigators.
