GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Principal Scientist in Genomic Technologies, Human Genetics and Genomics to join the GSK R&D Translational Sciences team. Based in Cambridge, MA, you will work on integrating computational and statistical methods to interpret genetics data and guide drug discovery.

You will collaborate with the Statistical Genetics team across HGG, contribute to causal gene-phenotype analyses, and help scale analyses using cloud and distributed computing.

Formación

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience with large-scale biobank data such as UK Biobank and All of Us.
• Strong programming skills in R or Python and reproducible research practices.
• Experience evaluating and developing methods for analysis of large-scale genetics data.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, improve, test, and develop production implementations of analytic methods for genetic data in collaboration with Data and Predictive Sciences, Biostatistics, or AI/ML teams.
• Generate large-scale analysis outputs and implement tools for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing genetic and genomic data.
• Collaborate with partners in translational teams across HGG to influence portfolio and pipeline decisions.
• Stay informed about recent research and its potential applications within GSK.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
