Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Principal Scientist to lead bioconjugation process development and industrialization of ADC manufacturing. The role drives technology innovation, mentors staff, and ensures cGMP transfer to CMOs while advancing Amgen's portfolio.

You will oversee process development, modeling, and regulatory support, collaborating across PD and DSTS groups to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing solutions for early to late-stage programs.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/MD with 2 years of scientific experience.
• Masters with 5 years of scientific experience.
• Bachelors with 7 years of scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams for bioconjugate manufacturing processes.
• Drive bioconjugation technology innovation.
• Support cGMP manufacturing and technology transfer to CMOs.
• Develop strategies to ensure process performance via modeling and characterization.
• Guide successful completion of project deliverables and timelines.
• Coach and mentor staff; collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory teams.
• Stay current in the field of bioconjugation manufacturing.
