Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Principal Scientist, AI-Native Discovery (Large Molecules) to join our In Silico Drug Discovery team. Location options include Spring House, PA; Cambridge, MA; or San Diego, CA, with travel as needed. No remote option.

The role blends AI, predictive modeling, and computational design to shape next-gen biologics discovery, requiring collaboration across ISD and Biologics teams and a strong track record in cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific or technical discipline with 4+ years of drug discovery experience.
• Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, agentic AI, computational biology, or computational approaches for antibody design and optimization.
• Proven ability to organize and communicate complex data, models, and concepts to partners with diverse technical backgrounds.
• Experience representing a computational function on cross-functional projects and integrating data to inform program strategy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with In Silico Discovery to connect biologics programs with AI-enabled capabilities and computational design.
• Apply AI-enabled design, analysis, and decision support in Therapeutic Discovery programs.
• Represent ISD on cross-functional teams to apply AI insights for program strategy and decisions.
• Apply predictive modeling, machine learning, generative approaches, and computational biology to support design and optimization of biologic candidates.
• Advance AI-native workflows linking hypothesis generation, design, testing, and model refinement to accelerate learning.
