About The Job

The Red Hat Sales Cloud team is seeking a Principal Application Engineer to drive the growth and development of our Salesforce Lightning instance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions on the Salesforce platform, collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs. This role requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a dedication to technical excellence.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Ensure proper use of declarative and programmatic Salesforce solutions.
• Manage development and deployment processes, including source control and testing.
• Integrate Salesforce with third-party systems using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Configure Salesforce for complex pricing and product management.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with administrators, architects, and DevOps teams.

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in Salesforce.
• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce configuration, pricing, and catalog management.
• Knowledge of integration tools and APIs (REST, SOAP).
• Familiarity with Agile tools and practices.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II) are desirable.
• Experience with other Salesforce products and integrating Salesforce with ERP or third-party platforms.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and web frameworks.

The salary range is $120,720 - $199,120, based on qualifications.
